Energy Performance Certificates (EPC)
Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) = £55.00
At Environmental Health Services Ltd we have plenty of experience as a trusted Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) provider, completing energy efficiency surveys in Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead and beyond. We do everything we can to make this essential process easier for you.
We can carry out a full survey and provide an EPC for your property at a total cost of £55.00. Payment via cash or debit/credit card can be made at the time of the survey.
We can also offer discounts for multiple properties and repeat volumes. We are available inside and outside of office hours to carry out the survey – including evenings and weekends – because we know it’s sometimes difficult for clients to be at home during the day. We can usually agree a convenient time to carry out the assessment within 48 to 72 hours of the initial enquiry.
Among Newcastle’s fastest Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) providers
We then aim to provide you with your official certificate by email within 48 hours from the day that we carry out the survey. We can also email a copy of your report to your estate/letting agent at the same time. If you need a hard copy, we will post it first class on the next working day after the report has been generated. On very rare occasions (such as when the address is not listed in the national database and needs to be added), there may be a slight delay, but these situations are rare and you will be advised accordingly of any delays.
Once the EPC has been created, you can download further copies by using the report reference number on the top right hand side of the certificate and visiting this link: http://www.epcregister.com/
Preparing for your EPC provider’s visit
Please bear in mind that during the assessment, the EPC assessor will need to inspect the whole property to collect detailed data and information on a range of factors. This will include external and/or internal measurements, details about the type of construction, , what type heating you have, and the manufacturer and model number of the boiler currently installed.
The assessor will need to access all rooms, including the loft space. Photographs will be taken of any relevant information as evidence for audit purposes, potentially including items such as gas & electricity meters, boilers, low energy lighting, thermostatic radiator valves, wall thickness, insulation thickness and so on.
Why do I need Energy Performance Certificates (EPC)?
With certain exceptions, an Energy Performance Certificate is required whenever a residential property is marketed for sale or is going to be let out/rented. An EPC is currently valid for 10 years unless any major changes have been made to the property, i.e. Installation of new windows, heating systems or upgraded insulation.
